Day 1: Chennai
On your arrival at the
International Airport, you will meet our
representatives and get transferred to the

Day 02: Chennai to
Mahabalipuram to Kanchipuram

Kanchipuram (76km/2hrs) and Mahabalipuram. They
are the two popular temple towns of Tamil Nadu.
Kanchipuram is a famous city, the ancient
capital of Pallavas. It is famous as the city of
1000 temples that still has 124 temples. Famous
for its silk, Kanchipuram has amazingly
beautiful temples of Kanchipuram with superb
architecture. One major attraction is the temple
dedicated to Lord Shiva, built between the 7th
and 8th century. Have a sightseeing tour and
lunch at Kanchipuram. Later, you will take a
drive to Mahabalipuram, also famous as
Mamallapuram.
Mahabalipuram is an attractive
port town and temple city of south India that
dates back to 7th century. It is famous the best
for its rock cut and monolithic temple
architecture and hence named as a UNESCO world
Heritage Site. In Mahabalipuram, you will visit
the tourist attractions such as, Shore Temple,
Arjuna's Penance, Pancha Rathas and beach
resorts. Return to Chennai in the evening. Have

Day 03: Chennai to Pondicherry
Post breakfast you will take a
drive to Pondicherry (170 km / 5 hrs).
Pondicherry, called lovingly as Pondi, is a
former French colony. It was later made the
Union Territory of India. Still, after so many
years, the city still boasts of its French aura
and look. Pondicherry is also a wholly place
where the saints like St.Agasthaya and Shri
Aurobindo once lived.
Reach Pondicherry and check in

Pondicherry. First of all, make a visit to the
eminent Aurobindo Ashram that still promotes the

Day 04: Pondicherry to
Swamimalai
Have your breakfast and take a
drive to Swamimalai (166 km-5 hrs). On the

destinations of Chidambaram and Gangaikonda
Cholapuram, a Chola period sculptural monument.
Chidambaram is also known as Thillai. It is
famous for Nataraja Temple. The temple sculpture
displays postures from Bharatnatayam dance form.

Day 05: Swamimalai to Tanjore
to Trichy
After breakfast, take a drive to
Trichy (91 km/2 hrs). On route, you will take a
visit to Tanjore, the ancient and attractive
capital once ruled by the Chola Kings. Tanjore
is famous for the temples and paintings. You
will also visit the Brihadeeswarar temple. Pay
your reverence to a great Shiva lingam and the
stone sculpture of Nandi bull, the lord's
vehicle.
Have your lunch and enjoy the

famous temples such as Rock Fort, Sri

Day 06: Trichy to Madurai
Have your breakfast and move on
to Madurai by road (140 km/4hrs). Madurai is the
erstwhile capital city that dates back to 2600
years old. It is a famous tourist city of Tamil
Nadu in South India. Reach Madurai and check in
the hotel.
In the afternoon, you will visit
the popular Meenakshi Temple, built in an

You will also visit Mariamman Teppakulam or
Great Tank and the Palace of Tirumalai Nayak.
Again visit Meenakshi Temple in the evening for

Day 07: Madurai to Rameshwaram
to Kodaikanal
Post breakfast you will take a
full day at leisure. You have an option to enjoy
a full day excursion to Rameshwaram or
Kodaikanal. Rameshwaram is a holy pilgrimage
destination for Hindus. Located at the southern
tip of India, it also lies near Sri Lanka.
Rameshwaram is closely associated with the great
Indian epic Ramayana and derives its name from

Ramanathaswamy Temple located close to sea. You
will return to Madurai in the evening. Stay
overnight at Madurai.
Day 08: Madurai to Kanya
Kumari to Kovalam
Have your breakfast and move on
to Kovalam by road (285km-7hrs). Visit
Kanyakumari on route. It is one of the most
important pilgrim centers of India. Located at
the southern most point of India Indian
subcontinent, it is also the meeting point of
Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Ocean.
Visit the Kumari Amman Temple,
dedicated to the virgin Goddess from whose name
Kanyakumari has got its name. Visit Vivekananda
Rock Memorial, where great Indian thinker and
spiritual leader, Vivekananda used to meditate.
The beaches of Kanyakumari are great and clean
with steady waves. In the evening, you will

horizon.
Continue your journey to Kovalam,
one of the finest beach destinations of south
