Day 01: Arrive Chennai
On arrival at Chennai International airport you will
be met by our representative, displaying placard
addressed to your name, you will be welcomed with
traditional Indian Hospitality with flowers & beautiful
stroll. Our representative will escort you to your Hotel
and there you can discuss your programme in detail and
clear your doubts
Day 02: Chennai
Book this Tour
In the morning, proceed for city tour of Chennai
visiting Museum (Closed on Fridays and holidays). Drive
through the flower and fruit market, High Court, Fort
Museum, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Snake
Park.
Day 03: Chennai -Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
Morning proceed to Kanchipuram (70 kms / 2hours
)Kanchipuram is the ancient capital of the Pallavas
famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124
shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built
in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the
walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri
Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest.
After visiting Kanchipuram proceed for Mahabalipuram(65
kms / 1. 30 hours).
Mahabalipuram : The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for
the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an
interesting group of ancient rock cut temples which are
the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture.
After visiting Mahabalipuram return back to chennai.
Overnight at Hotel
Day 04: Chennai -Trichy
Morning transfer to raiway station to board train
for Trichy.on arrival proceed for city tour of Trichy.
Visit the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi,
434 steps cut out into the rock side and interspersed
with shrines, lead to the temple. Visit SRIRANGAM, a
massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu sprawled on a
Island in CAUVERY RIVER which contains within its walls
a Bazaar (TRADITIONAL MARKET OF INDIA) as well. Gaze up
at the twenty-one magnificent towers of the temple
surrounded by seven walls.
Overnight at Trichy.
Day 05: Trichy - Tanjavur - Madurai
Morning drive to Tanjavur ( 56 kms / 1 hour ) also
known as Thanjavur (The rice bowl of Tamil Nadu). Don't
miss the famous Chola Temple of Brihadeeshwara - a World
Heritage Monument! Its bronze handicrafts make Tanjore
one of the highlights of the tour to South India. It is
also famous for the silk.
Later proceed to Madura( 150 kms / 4 hours ) on arrival
checkin at Hotel . Overnight at Madurai.
Day 06 : Madurai
Morning visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated
to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams
(rising high above the surrounding country side). Later,
visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - A gracious building in
the Indo saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on
its domes & arches. Also visit the Alagar Hills and
Tirupara Kundran Rock temple. Afternoon free.
Overnight Madurai
Day 07: Madurai - Kanya Kumari - Kovalam
Morning drive to Kanya kumari (cape comorin )253 kms
/ 6hours .Kanya Kumari the last end of India where three
Oceans meet. Visit : The Vivekananda rock in the island
is reachable by the govt ferry. There is also a recently
built memorial to Tiruvalluvar, the author of the
philosophical work Tirukkural - a treatise on the Indian
way of life. The temple of Kumari Amman (the virgin
lady) and Gandhi Memorial are some of the finest
attractions.
Continue to Kovalam(90 kms / 2 hours )and on arrival
transfer to hotel ,
Overnight at Kovalam.
Day 08: Kovalam
Full day Free at leisure.
Day 09: Kovalam - Alleppey - Cochin
Drive to Alleppey 180 kms/ 4 hours
(Alappuzha)- the land of backwaters, so as to reach at
12.00noon to board the private House Boat that is
waiting to take you on a tour through the backwaters, a
splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Later
drive to cochin(56 kms / 1.30 hours)
Day 10: Cochin

Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin or "Kochi"- the
palm green, commercial capital of Kerala, which has one
of the finest natural harbours & is known as the "Queen
of the Arabian Sea". From time immemorial, Arabs,
Chinese, Dutch, British & Portuguese seafarers followed
the sea route to Kochi & left their impression on the
town. Visit the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the
Church of St. Francis, the Bolghatty Palace & the
famousChinese fishing nets . overnight at Hotel
Day 11: Cochin - Chennai
Check out from the hotel according to flight timing
and the tour ends today with a departure transfer to
Chennai airport, according to your flight timing.
