Day 1 : Reach Delhi

The colour & romance of India welcomes you
with arms wide open as you reach Delhi. The
color and the aroma of Indian spices and
Indian tradition get hold of you in a moderate
yet a fascinating way. The capital of India,
Delhi, is one of the most alive places in the
whole world with a pinch of Indian culture and
heritage and two of its monuments- the Qutab
Minar and the Humayun's Tomb, have been
declared as the World Heritage Sites. For a
first timer to India, it serves as a perfect
start to a journey towards cultural wealth,
different religious beliefs, complexities and
the dynamism of India. Meeting and assistance
once you arrive, thereafter leave for the
hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi - Patna - Bodhgaya
The next morning leave for the airport for a
flight to Patna, the Capital city of Bihar -
Lord Buddha the gentle colossus who founded
the first universal religion of the world,
worked and lived much of his life in Bihar
though he was born in Kapilavastu, now in
Nepal. Most of the major events of his life,
like enlightenment and the last sermon
happened in Bihar. Significantly, the state's
name originated from 'Vihara' meaning Buddhist
and Jain monasteries, which abounded in Bihar.
Later proceed to Bodhgaya which is one of the
sacred places for the Buddhists as well as for
the Hindus. Here under the Bodhi Tree, Gautama
attained supreme knowledge to become Budhha,
the `Enlighted One'. Enroute visit Nalanda &
Rajgir.
Day 3 : Bodhgaya - Varanasi
Morning, explore Bodhgaya and visit the
Mahabodi Temple, Niranjana river, Japanese &
Thai temple. In the afternoon proceed for
Varanasi which is amongst the oldest living
cities in the world. Thousands come daily to
Varanasi to take a ritual dip in the river
Ganga, to cleanse their souls of sins and to
worship at many of it's temples.
Day 4 : Varanasi - Kushinagar
Early morning, a boat ride on the Ganges at
dawn when it is full of pilgrims is an amazing
place to witness the living traditions of one
of the world's oldest and most important
religions.
Later visit the Sarnath Temple - 5 miles out
of Varanasi. Sarnath is one of the holiest
Buddhist sites in the world, where Buddha
preached his first Sermon in 590 BC. Sarnath
has a fine Museum filled with sculptures found
at the site. In the afternoon proceed for
Kushinagar. Once there check in at the hotel.
Day 5 : Kushinagar - Balrampur
The next morning visit the Nirvana Temple ,
Rambahar Stupa and later proceed for Balrampur.
Enroute also visit Lumbini.
Day 6 : Balrampur - Lucknow - Delhi
The next morning enjoy the sightseeing of
Sahet Mahet, later proceed for Lucknow to get
to the airport to catch a flight for Delhi.
Day 7 : Depart Delhi

The next morning proceed for a city tour of
New Delh, drive past the stately government
buildings of the British Era designed by
Lutyens, including the India Gate & the
Presidential Palace. Continue onto the
beautiful Humayun's tomb of the Mughal era &
predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal. End
of the tour at the towering minaret of Qutab.
Later in the afternoon visit Old Delhi, Red
Fort, Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma
Gandhi. Evening transfer to the international
airport to board a homebound flight.
